Hey all! Ken Lear here! Today we’re going to dive into a discussion about what separates winners from losers. There are clear differences between the two, and it all boils down to a person’s mentality. 1. EFFORT
It’s simple: winners give more than anyone else. They never stop trying. They take massive action, have a high sense of urgency, and always give their best effort.
3. PREPARATION
Winners are ridiculously prepared. Being prepared not only makes them more productive, but more confident.
“You were born to win, but to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win and expect to win.” -Zig Ziglar
3. ATTITUDE
Winners have positive attitudes. When they face obstacles, they remain optimistic.
4. SELF-DISCIPLINE
Winners are able to tolerate temporary discomfort in order to achieve their big picture goals. They know that ultimately, their success will be the result of what they do daily; so, they focus on implementing great habits.
“Winners have simply formed the habit of doing things losers don’t like to do.” -Albert Gray
5. STICKTUITIVENESS
It’s not that winners don’t fail — in fact, they fail all the time! But what separates winners from losers is that they keep going after they face a setback. Winners always get back on the horse. They don’t give up, even when other people would understand if they did.
6. MOTIVATION
Winners are intrinsically motivated. They are driven by a deep passion that drives them forward on a day to day basis. They care deeply about their goals and will stop at nothing to achieve them.
“The most distinguishing feature of winners is their intensity of purpose.” -Alymer Letterman
7. SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT
Winners know that success must be earned. They don’t expect anything to be handed to them. They know that in order to get what they want in life, they are going to have to work hard and make a consistent effort to chip away at their goals.
8. FOCUS
There’s a famous anonymous quote that says: Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on winners.
It’s true. Winners focus on improving their own skills. They aren’t concerned by what other people are doing.
9. PROACTIVITY
Winners aren’t people who wait. They don’t have time for that. Winners actively pursue whatever course of action is necessary to bring them closer to their goals. They don’t have to be asked or told what to do — they just do it!
“The act of taking the first step is what separates the winners from the losers.” -Brian Tracy
10. RESPONSIBILITY
Winners take full responsibility for their actions. They never blame external factors or try to pin a failure on someone else.
